Star Lit, Star Led, a Christmas poem by M Ryan Taylor
star lit, star led
by M Ryan Taylor
star lit
points upon
a milky wheel
whirling me dizzy
far flung
flecks of light,
willow wisp guides,
shepherding where?
one star
tethering
from the center,
heart of the courses
ever
fixing mark
keeping the sky
from flying apart
round and round and round and round
swimming in choices
on highways of light
round and round and round and round
old new star,
defining the compass,
making sense of it all
