Here are my scrap wood wise men. They’re a little year-worn, but aren’t they cute? I made them when I was a little kid, not older than 8 or 9  (I think) . . .

I went into the garage, saw some scrap wood pieces and a box of fabric pieces my mom had saved for shepherds and wise men at Christmas and I went to. There was no plan or pattern. Just a kid and some stuff. That’s all creativity is, seeing what’s around you and bringing it into something new. Grab some stuff and get going.

P.S. Besides fabric and wood, there are nails for arms on the two bigger ones, and a bunch of tacks used for eyes, buttons and to tack the fabric in place. I pounded the facial features in with nails and screwdrivers. String was used to hold the fabric on the nail arms and yarn around the heads.
