Painted Fabric Snowmom
This is similar to yesterday’s snowman project (I thought he needed some company), a snowmom. Start the same as yesterday.
You see these blue lines? I wished later I had used pencil. The blue pen bled through the acyrlic and I had to use 3 coats on spots to get it to go away. Grr.
I wanted her to stand independant, so I cut off the bottom of one side, the other flap will make a base. Now she’s stitched together and turned (I left a much bigger whole this time to stuff the shredded office paper in, which made it easier even if it means more hand sewing later).
Stuffed and stitched:
Here’s the whip stitching I did on the bottom, I just folded and pinned the fabric under and went to:
I left off using the diluted glue to stiffen the fabric before painting. This saved me a day of drying time, but I ended up using more paint. Time or paint? This is cheap paint. I’ll have my time please.
This time I applied the paint with a little sponge paint roller I got at the store. It worked pretty good, but still needed a brush to get into the nooks.
After two painting sessions (have to let one side dry and paint the other later), I improvised her a cap (with jingle bells) and scarf from scrap corduroy:
Beads again for the nose and buttons:
What’s missing? Could it be her son?
No, there he is. The eyes really struck me as too flat on this larger snow girl, so after much deliberation I added dimensional black glitter fabric paint:
Much better, now her eyes sparkle!
Ex amore victoria!

I would also like to know any information on where I can buy the heads
hands and feet. No small job for sure.
Thank you. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
