Laced Christmas Card Ornament
I remember seeing something like this when I was a child. It was simply two Christmas card covers placed back to back, whole punched and laced with ribbon. I’ve decided to use cord instead of ribbon, other than that this is the same. This is a great way to recycle Christmas cards you really like and don’t want to cut up too much.
-
Place 2 Christmas card covers back to back and cut to the same size.
-
Glue together, if desired.
-
I decided to cut off the corners.
-
Whole punch around the perimeter. I like using an oval punch rather than a regular whole punch.
-
Optional: add glitter at this point if you like. I don’t have any just now.
-
Starting at the top, lace with a long piece of cord or ribbon. Better to use too much rather than have to start over again.
-
Tie at the top.
And here it is on the tree:
