Gum Box Ornament : Extreme Recycling
No, I don’t think its a big deal to throw away your gum box and wrappers, but what if you could turn them into something beautiful instead.
I just took saved gum wrappers and used some thinned white glue (50/50 in a glue bottle) to decoupage them to the outside of thier gum box. You can’t do this with regular foil (you’d have to use spray adhesive), but since it is paper backed . . .
Then I tied a ribbon on (from a spool I got at the dollar store - I’ll use rest of the ribbon and the spool itself later on), and added a little fishing line.
Not bad, huh? If you’re a regular gum chewer, you could make a ton of these, and it doesn’t use all the wrappers to cover the box, so next I’m going to make a companion from a raisin box.
Ex amore victoria!
