I liked this Christmas card, but didn’t love it, so I decided to spice it up a little.

After cutting out the motifs, I decided on a piece of homemade paper with glitter embedded in it that I made last Summer (so much easier to do out of doors).

I glued the center on over a wood circle I had lying about, to give it a little depth. Since then I’ve heard of just using those self-adhesive foam pads, but if you’ve got free materials hanging about, why buy stuff? Well, the glue did warp the paper slightly, so you can see the outline of the wooden circle underneath. Oh well.

I transferred the message from the card to the inside, and bordered it with some motifs from other cards. Do I love it yet? Well, I like it better. ;-)
