Christmas Card Garland
Do you have lots of Christmas cards from past years and don’t really want to throw them out? Then don’t. This is the first of several ideas for easy homemade Christmas decorations I’m going to share with you over the coming week that utilize your old Christmas cards in artistic ways.
This first idea is the easiest and least destructive; it’s so simple that all you need is some twine, a couple of fasteners (more on that in a moment) and your Christmas cards (which remain intact). The Christmas Card Garland:

- Put up 2 fasteners. I used a push pin, pushed into the moulding above a door on one end (once removed, the tiny whole will be invisible), and a binder clip attached to a curtain rod on the other end.
- Hang a piece of string or twine across your room, between your choice of fasteners.
- Drape your Christmas cards on the twine. Overlap cards if you desire (and have enough).
Voila! A beautiful garland that will remind you and your family just how much you are loved.
Don’t have a lot of Christmas Cards? Well, Ive found that to get them you have to send them. Here are some really cool pop-up Christmas cards I found from Robert Sabuda . . . of course you can always cheat and order a bunch of different Christmas Cards to use in projects like this. Often you can get them on clearance after Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
