10-sided Christmas Card Ornament
This 10-sided variation on the 20-sided Christmas Card Ornament will fit more snugly against your full-branched Christmas Tree. The 20-sided variation makes a huge, bulky ball and the 8-sided variation doesn’t have the cheery rosette-pattern we’re going for in this ornament. Also, the 10-sided variation is slightly easier and takes less materials and time; so, if you’re running out of Christmas cards to recycle, this is a good choice.
You’ll start in the same manner as the 20-sided ornament, by using a circle cutter to make 10 circles from your Christmas Cards and then creating a triangle template to score those circles with your bone folder:
After scoring and folding, you just glue a set of 5 circles together using regular Elmer’s glue and then continue on the back in the same pattern:
This takes a lot less time and is less likely to be squashed in storage than the 20-sided variation, so it might be the project of choice for younger kids. Here is the result on my ‘tin-foil’ tree:
